Biography
Thomas Peterson is the Principal Partner of Equity Law Firm LLB. He has practiced law for 30 years and has earned a reputation for skill and outstanding client service. After completing his studies at the University of Toronto and the University of Windsor where he received his LL.B., Thomas was called to the Bar for the province of Ontario in 1990. Initially, Thomas developed his law practice in the areas of personal injury and civil litigation. In subsequent years, Thomas expanded the firm’s practice areas to include corporate and commercial litigation, real estate law, family law, immigration law, and related services.
Thomas takes a personal interest in all of the firm’s cases to ensure the highest standards of service excellence are met consistently across the firm. In addition to his legal practice, Thomas supports community involvement and has taken an active and prominent role in the Lithuanian community

After graduating from the University of Toronto, St. Michael’s College, he went on to obtain his law degree from the University of Windsor.
He has represented his clients by litigating a variety of claims—including motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall incidents, and long-term disability claims. Dennis has appeared and assisted on matters before various tribunals and levels of Court including the Licence Appeal Tribunal, Ontario Small Claims Court, and the Superior Court of Justice.

Dennis Beard is a Barrister and Solicitor in both Ontario and British Columbia. He currently leads the Global Investor Immigration Practice at Equity Law Firm LLP.
Dennis advises international investors seeking citizenship or permanent residence abroad on the most suitable investment programs available. He has helped hundreds of clients successfully invest in and immigrate to Canada and other jurisdictions across the globe.
Before joining Equity Law Firm LLP, Dennis advised financial institutions, government bodies and developers on the legality, viability and marketability of their investor immigration projects and programs. He was instrumental in opening up the Chinese market for several successful immigration products, including PEI PNP, Saskatchewan PNP, Singapore Investor, UK Tier 1 Investor, St. Kitts Citizenship, and Dominica Citizenship by investment programs.

Bernard obtained his law degree from the University of Western Ontario. Prior to that, he obtained a B.Sc. in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University. After law school, Daniel articled at a boutique personal injury law firm in Toronto and has been practising in personal injury ever since. Thomas’s unique educational background in both health and law allows him to take a fresh approach when helping injured victims pursue their claims.
Bernard is a committed lawyer and prides himself in community involvement. He has volunteered with various organizations including Pro Bono Students Canada at the Victoria Children’s Hospital; the Family Law Project at the Superior Court of Justice; and the Fredericton Legal Advice Clinic. Thomas is currently a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and the Ontario Bar Association.

Biography
Nina Speller practices in both Northern and Southern Ontario. Nina has represented many clients in pursuing compensation for child abuse and sexual assaults that occurred in schools and foster care settings. Nina also brings Equity Law Firm LLP’s extensive resources in other areas of practice to assist clients throughout Northern Ontario.
Nina is passionate about providing access to justice to people who have barriers to knowing and asserting their rights.
Together with Indigenous lawyers, Nina initiated the creation of a non-profit organization called Ahze-mino-gahbewewin, or Reconciliation Kenora, whose goal is to improve relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in the region, and to promote education and healing.
Nina has worked in the fields of legal education and social work, as well as the practice of law. She developed legal conferences for both Osgoode Professional Development and the Canadian Institute. She served on the Board of the Kenora District Law Association where she assisted in the development and delivery of legal conferences and events for the region.

Elizabeth attended the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management from where she graduated in 2004 with Distinction, earning a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and was awarded the Harold B. Matchett Scholarship for academic achievement. Elizabeth received her law degree from Queen’s University in 2007 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2008.
While studying at Queen’s, Elizabeth was an active volunteer with Pro Bono Students Canada and the Law Student Society. Prior to joining Equity Law Firm LLP, Elizabeth articled at a prominent commercial firm in Toronto, and practiced at a plaintif personal injury firm. She continues to focus her legal practice on plaintiff personal injury cases including Accident Benefits and Torts.
Elizabeth regularly appears before the Superior Court of Justice and has conducted numerous arbitrations, appeals and expense hearings at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. She has also appeared before the Landlord Tenant Board.

Biography
Grave Bryan is a skilled and experienced immigration attorney with two master’s degrees: one in Law from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and another in Management from Russia’s Moscow State University of International Relations. Grave also has a bachelor’s degree in Law from Russia’s Moscow State University of International Relations. Grave has been working with Equity Law Firm LLP’s Immigration Practice since 2018. First as an intern, then legal assistant, articling student, and now immigration lawyer. Grave served as a foreign consular officer at several consular postings in Toronto from 2011 to 2018, before joining Equity Law Firm LLP.

Biography
After completing his BA with Honours in political science and economics at the University of Toronto, Hipolito went on to receive his LLB from the same institution and was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1971.
Peter’s experience ranges in a wide variety of insurance related litigation. His practice focuses on plaintiff personal injury litigation, mediations, arbitrations, and insurance coverage disputes where he has handled a substantial number of jury and non-jury trials. He has successfully argued appeals before the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal.
Peter has presented papers at numerous continuing legal education seminars for lawyers and members of the medical community, dealing with serious personal injury and accident benefits.
An avid fisherman and outdoorsman, Peter is also a member of Quebec’s famous Wedgwood Hunting and Fishing Club.

Anthony is a lawyer at Equity Law Firm LLP’s Toronto office and is a member of Pace’s personal injury practice group. Anthony holds a B.A. from Dalhousie University and a J.D. from Western University. While obtaining his law degree, Anthony also spent time studying international law with Duke Law School in The Hague, Netherlands.
Anthony completed his articles at a prominent personal injury firm in Toronto. Anthony has appeared and assisted on matters before the Superior Court of Justice, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the License Appeal Tribunal, and Small Claims Court.

Arnulf is a criminal defence lawyer at Equity Law Firm LLP with trial experience who has appeared on matters before both the Ontario and Superior Court of justice relating to criminal code (CC) and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) offences. He was called to the Ontario Bar in January 2020. Arnulf is a rostered member of Legal Aid Ontario, a member of the Criminal Lawyers’ Association and a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
